I’m feeling pretty random. My mind keeps jumping from one subject to another and I find myself thinking “I should blog about that!” just about every 7 minutes or so. Blogs that talk about blogging would say that I should keep my post subject manners streamlined – covering one subject at time. Well, F-that. Join me in celebrating this list: the most RANDOM list. [alternatively titled: a list of things on Heather’s mind that you probably don’t care a lick about!]
1. Danielle, my best friend from high school and mother of Miss Baby A-dorable, is planning the most adorable rainbow themed 2nd birthday party for Baby A, herself. How do I know it’s the most adorable? Simple: a) Danielle is an amazing event planner and b) the proof is in this invitation that arrived in my mailbox this morning. Oh how I wish I could make my way to Minnesota for this colorful experience!
2. I took today off of work. I didn’t sleep well, waking myself up with a cough through much of the night and when the alarm went off this morning, it took all of about 3 minutes to convince myself that staying in bed was the wiser move. I slept another five hours before greeting the day feeling a bit better. I spent the remainder of the day napping and lounging on the couch, watching television and playing online. It was awesome and exactly what I needed to feel 100% back to normal awesome and ready to face a long to-do list at work tomorrow. And Benson was really happy to have me home today, too. Clearly…
3. Grumpy looks aside, Benson was my partner in crime all day. I swear that kitten snuggles are some sort of magic medicine sparkly power of goodness.
4. Shout out to my friend Kirian who did the mom like thing and when I pointed out a hole in my sweatshirt, took out a needle and thread from her purse and sewed the hole. like a boss mom.
5. This is one of my favorite mugs to use at J. Watt’s Barista House. [I also like that mug that Jason is holding with the double ring handle]
6. Here’s an easy gift idea for your loved ones far away, especially of the male college student variety. Grab a few bags of candy. Find a box to ship in. Fill box with candy. Include a short note. Send. I sent one such box to my younger brother for the start of the new semester last month. I forgot to tell you about it, even though I took pictures to do so. Shocking, I know.
7. Sometimes I think I am an adult. I get all proud for a moment and talk about how much I’ve grown and how far I’ve come in my twenties. Other times, my friends mend my clothes and I remember my kitchen décor includes wind-up toys and a Smurf.
8. See that peaking out there on the right hand side of the photo above? I recently made some pretty awesome stamp blocks. I’m a big fan of this creative project of wonders. Booyah!! to having a creative vision pop up out of nowhere and going through with it!
9. Here’s some cheesy life inspiration from my the door of my fridge. I love cheesy inspiration.
10. I’ve told you How It Works. Here’s some photo evidence [click to enlarge]:
