*To the tune of The Mamas & The Papas’ Monday, Monday

-Back at work today after a four day weekend.  It’s nice to be back, especially considering I’m looking at another four day weekend at the end of this week.  I’m loving the “Christmas Vacation” feeling. I’ve been a little productive, and a little lazy, which I think is the best balance of all.  Plus, there’s been a whole lot of celebrating and feeling festive.  LOVE! I’m looking forward to another dose of wonderfulness come Thursday afternoon.

-I’m doing this: The 2012 Declutter and Organize Calendar

I think I saw a link from Jenna about it on twitter, then started looking through the calendar and thinking it seemed like a dream of a schedule!  From previous experience, I know I won’t be a task-master who finishes the daily calendar item each day.  There will most likely be several weeks that go by without my “declutter and organize” madness.  But I like the idea of having this suggestion of tasks on hand to keep me a little bit more motivated to keep things tidy and structured.

-A few weeks ago I started writing my 2012 New Year’s Resolutions.  The theme this year seems to be “GENERAL goals which are not at all measurable but still mega manageable. “

I’ll probably be sharing those soon, so that in mid-August, when I’m in the middle of a spell-oh-vanity and rereading random THS posts for several hours, I can come across the list and be reminded of all the lofty, no-longer-appropriate goals I set for myself when I was feeling all traditional and stuff.

-Tomorrow is my darling boyfriend Nick’s 30th Birthday.  Woot! I have a dinner party on the books featuring three kinds of macaroni and cheese.   There will also be cake. ProbablyI’m trying to think of something we should do tonight that could be labeled “appropriate only for people in their twenties” since it will be his last chance.  Any suggestions?

The calendar is printing as I type (and the cat is attacking the paper as it prints – good times) Thanks for posting about that!

I’ve set my goals (haven’t posted them quite yet though!) And happy birthday to Nick. Wish I had some ideas for people in their 20s…but we are board game/Catch Phrase people and in our 20s, so I don’t think we count 🙂

Oh I know you are…trust me, I’ve gotten some ideas off your site (so thank you for THAT as well!) But I’m just not sure what other awesome games are out there for you guys to play! Oh there is always Farkle..a dice game that’s super easy and quite fun.

I love that organization calendar! I’m definitely going to print it out–thanks for sharing!
I’m forgoing the traditional resolution this year and doing a 101 in 1001 list instead. I’ve been working on it for months and I’m really looking forward to it.

Love that calendar! A big part of my prep for 2012 is to organize the heck out of my life this week.

Something only appropriate in your twenties…I suppose getting drunk on a work night! Then again, lots of my older coworkers would disagree with me. Have fun tonight!!

Thanks for sharing the calendar! I’m currently on a declutter streak and that makes things more manageable! Right now I’m somewhat overwhelmed. Happy 2012!
