Fantabulous

Please enjoy these fantabulous [completely random] photos of awesome from my youth, which have nothing to do with anything I wrote in this post, but thought they would be fun to share anyway.

Most delightful, thought provoking post I’ve read this week: On Magic by Elise Blaha

Wonderfully delicious award-winning recipe I can’t wait to try: Sea Salted Caramel Cookies from Little Bitty Bakes

Currently reading: Lunch Wars as part of the BlogHer Book Club. [The subtitle is "How to Start a School Food Revolution and Win the Battle for Our Children's Health"]  I just started reading it yesterday and I can already tell that this book is going to have major impacts on me.  You should read it too, and join me in discussions on BlogHer later this month.

I’ve updated the list of 28 blogs I read daily and added categories [in brackets] which explain why I read each blog.
[note: There are a long list of other blogs I read throughout the week, but keeping this list of daily reads to 28 has been so refreshing!]

Speaking of updates, the 101 in 1001 listis coming along nicely.  This is most promising as it expires in less than a month.  [tasks in italics I've completed but yet to blog about].  Of course, I’ve already started drafting my next “101 in 1001″ list.  I’ve had some questions recently about how I went about building my list and my experiences with the project.  You can expect a post in the future discussing this further.

I’ve got a bucketload of awesome plans for the weekend including the 30th annual Lark Fest [where one of my favorite musical artists of this summer, Mike Doughty, will be headlining the Madison stage! woot!], and a whole lot of relaxation in order to refresh and recharge.  It shall be fantabulous!

I’ve been thinking about how a lot of time, you come to THS and read words and leave knowing a tiny bit more about me and my life.  I thought it may be fun for me to get to know a little bit about YOU, today!
A few fun questions for you to answer:

1. What is the best post you’ve read this week?
2. What is the best post you’ve posted this week?
3. If you could live ANYWHERE for one year, where would you choose and why?

  2. Best was Jonny’s post on the last Grace service, ’cause I was there and involved in planning. It was a reminder for me to think and reflect on the topic a bit more. http://jonnybaker.blogs.com/jonnybaker/2011/09/youve-not-arrived-worship-trick-11-series-4.html

Depending on your viewpoint my best post this week was the Pancakes (who doesn’t like pancakes) or the Things Fall Apart post.

Apart from where I live (IMHO the best city in the world), I think I’d like to try living in another city, Paris or New York for preference. Paris because it would improve my French and New York because it sounds like fun…

Hope you have a great weekend!

#3 – Someplace without snow, because I don’t know what a full year without snow is like, but I think it would be a pretty awesome thing to experience.

  6. I love the way that when you use the acronym THS – I always think of True Hollywood Story.

I guess this blog is kind of your True Hollywood Story though. Minus Hollywood. :)
