Remember that time I had a sweet potato in my purse? [By the by, if you now are thinking about making something with a sweet potato, may I suggest this Sweet Potato Flatbread with Goat Cheese and Pancetta from Healthy Delicious? It seems to be both healthy AND delicious!]
Anyway…back to that time…
I also had a recently-covered-in-coffee book in my bag that day. A book I was reading for the Blogher Bookclub; Sarah Dessen’s What Happened to Goodbye.
Young Adult Fiction and a trendy cover? Count me in.
I didn’t know exactly what to expect when I started reading this teenage novel, but I ended up feeling pretty strongly about a few things. And I loved the lead character/narrator, Mclean, so much so that I wrote her a letter.
Be sure to check out my full review on Blogher.

love that book writer author lady! dessen always writes something nice and light, but super thoughtful and super relatable. I loved “someone like you” in high school.
I haven’t read any other Dessen yet, but now I am def. adding “Someone Like You” to my “to read” list
I LOVED Sarah Dessen. LOVEDLOVEDLOVED. Haven’t read this book, but I seem to prefer her older stuff !
this was the first Dessen I read, and I must say, I can totally understand how so many non-teen women read this stuff for fun! What has been your favorite of hers?
Lovely review dear
