Things that kinda never get old to me…

Flipping through photos on my computer and being able to compare things like this:

and this:

Or even this:

compared to this:

It would seem that I am 5 pounds away from a major weight loss goal.  As in, the goal. As in, the doctor and his silly scale will say I’m at a “healthy weight.”

Some readers and friends of THS have been asking me some “weight-loss experience” focused questions the last few days, and I thought it may be a good idea to address them all together.  Do you have a question for me? I’d love to address it. [ After all, you know by now that I am willing to answer just about anything, right? ] You can leave it in the comments section or send me an email to thenheathersaid@gmail.com

Hope to hear from you soon! [as in - ummm- now ;) ]

Remember that time I had a sweet potato in my purse? [By the by, if you now are thinking about making something with a sweet potato, may I suggest this Sweet Potato Flatbread with Goat Cheese and Pancetta from Healthy Delicious?  It seems to be both healthy AND delicious!]

Anyway…back to that time…

I also had a recently-covered-in-coffee book in my bag that day.  A book I was reading for the  Blogher Bookclub; Sarah Dessen’s What Happened to Goodbye.

Young Adult Fiction and a trendy cover?  Count me in.
I didn’t know exactly what to expect when I started reading this teenage novel, but I ended up feeling pretty strongly about a few things.  And I loved the lead character/narrator, Mclean, so much so that I wrote her a letter

Walking to brunch after the Firecracker 4:

Me: Twitter is blowing up.  Apparently, everyone wants a bloody mary.
Cynthia: what?
Me: after I finished the race, I tweeted, “I would now like a bloody mary.” and several people have responded “ditto.” For example, the alert I just got came from Chandra.

Approximately an hour later, as we are finishing our meal.

Cynthia: Wait? You sent that tweet at, like 10:00 AM.
Me: Yeah?
Cynthia: Chandra’s in Iowa. That’s even EARLIER.
Me: Oh. Yes. That’s how we roll.  That’s what made us Roommates of Awesomeness last year at HLS.  Well, that and the [cost effective] pre-partying before the cocktail party – but I think it’s one in the same.

We are now one month away from the Healthy Living Summit!  I am so excited to visit Philly, see old blends, and meet new ones, too!
