What can you find in my bag on a random Monday afternoon, you ask?
I’ll tell you:

  • My wallet: purchased Memorial Day weekend 2010 at a little vintage store on State Street in Madison with Healthy Ashley [who gets married this coming weekend, by the by] by my side.
  • Advil Cold & Sinus: achoo.
  • IPod Shuffle: complete with a whole bunch of pod-castsand a play-list titled, “Songs to Think to…and end with prepositions to, as well.”
  • A Favorite Pen: at the moment, uni-ball gel grip smooth write medium point in black.
  • Sweet Potato: yes, I’m serious.
  • Blogher Book Club Book: which may or may not have gotten a shower of coffee last night.
  • Blue Plastic Straw: drinking out of a straw > not drinking out of a straw.

What do you think this says about me?

  2. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I have had a sweet potato in my purse on multiple occasions. Hey – it’s something fast I can grab on my way out the door, and it’s easy to prepare with a microwave at work!

Our purses our soulmates. Love you!

P.S. When I had food poisoning over the weekend, whenever Ross brought me something to drink, on two occasions I (quite diva-like) asked that he bring me a straw, too.

  3. Yeah for random root veggies in bags. I currently have an apple in mine.

  4. I confess, I’ve never had a sweet potato in my purse (though I’m sure I’ve had other strange things). I really would like the explanation for that.

  5. That is quite the combo, lady.

Your book will just look a little extra loved with coffee stains :)

  6. Hi Heather! I do believe we have a friend in common- Marcus Powers. I have heard him talk about you! :-) I did not come across your blog through him, but from following Healthy Ashley. It’s a small world after all! Anyways…I think you blog is great. I read some of your Top Read and Favorite Posts and I was truly moved. You write with such honesty and heart. I look forward to your post to come!

    • Marcus Powers and Ashley Sickles are two of my most favorite people on the planet! I am super excited that you know of me and found me through the two of them! What an honor :)

Thank you for the sweet words, my new friend!
