Hi, my name is Heather, and I’ve fallen into a shugar sugar coma.
The best co-workers in the WORLD surprised me with the most delicious Golden Birthday cake a girl could ask for, from one of my favorite spots in town, Villa Italia Italian Bakery.  I literally gasped, then swooned, when the cake box was opened to reveal this gorgeous number.

This little beauty doesn’t hold anything back.  Beyond that sweeping calligraphy, hand crafted iced roses, and tiny beads of golden magic, you’ll find super rich frosting, three layers of moist, fluffy chocolate cake, and two streams of the creamiest heaven [some may call it Italian creme, but this does not give it the credit it is due, in my opinion.]

Before today I have delighted in Villa Italia’s gelato, gelato cakes, and individual Italian pastries and cookies and I must confess, I’ve never had a bite I didn’t thouroughly enjoy from this local hot spot.  I go mad over their pistachio gelato in the summer, steamy hot chocolate in the winter, and mini creme puffs all year round.

After today, I’m quite certain that I know what’s going to be on my wish list for my 29th birthday.  This cake trumps last years “Cake of Death” one hundred fold and then some.  Magnifico!
