You may have missed that yesterday was Presidents Day.
I didn’t miss it. In fact, I celebrated with cake for breakfast.
You may be saying to yourself, “what happened to one healthy decision at a time, Heather?”
Well, I will tell you what happened: IT WAS PRESIDENTS DAY. And when it comes to celebrating the Presidents, this blogger doesn’t mess around.
I had found a recipe for FDR’s favorite birthday cake in Capitol Hill Cooks, a cook book that may or may not have been written for the likes of, well, me. The recipe is also found on Coffee Snobology. [Though I used 1/2 margarine and 1/2 applesauce, and only used 1 tsp vinegar]
There was a lot of Presidential Fun around the web to celebrate my favorite holiday. Did you mess them? Here are a few of my favorites:
- Kelly, sharing how we celebrated Abe’s Birthday while she was in town
- A fun post about the wonders of the White House
- I wish I lived near Emily for awesome events like the Presidents Day Parade
- Watch this 2-year old Presidential Expert on Rachel Ray
- Play along with the THS Presidents Day Twitter Quiz
- As always, be on the lookout for #presidentialfunfacts
