Kati brought me to the airport two hours before my departure time. And I was sad.
We took a photo, hugged, and said goodbye. And I was sad.
I went through security, got to my gate, and sat down on the floor. And I was sad.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to the place that I still call home.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to the place that I feel the most complete.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to the most gorgeous, amazing city I’ve ever been.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to my blisscation.
I sat at the airport, near my gate but away from other travelers, cross-legged on the floor staring at the rows of empty, lonely chairs matching my empty, lonely heart.
And then an announcement was made.
And then my plans changed.
And then my life changed.
Well… that’s a cliffhanger if I ever read one. Can’t wait to find out what happened.
Okay…..I’m hooked. And waiting with bated breath!
